The CNR Safety at Work Office was established in 1981 with the statutory task of promoting and coordinating the scientific and professional aspects in the fields of environment, occupational hygiene, radiation protection, accident prevention and health protection also in cooperation with outside experts; organized with headquarter in Rome and Operating Units in the whole national territory. Safety at Work Office was recently appointed by the governing bodies of CNR as a structure pursuant to art.8 and 9 of the D.L. 626/94.
